VACAVILLE — Land owned by the Vacaville School District for a potential school site in the area of Browns Valley Road and McMurtry Lane will be the subject of a public hearing Thursday.

Public comment is being sought on the dedication and easement of a small piece of the land called “New Elementary School No. 2.”

The city of Vacaville requested that the district convey portions of the district’s property located at 6975 Browns Valley Road for the possible widening of Browns Valley Road for sidewalk and street improvements, the widening of McMurtry Lane and public utility easement. The land is a potential development area dubbed the Rice-McMurtry area.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Educational Services Center, 401 Nut Tree Road in Vacaville.
