Retired teachers group offers scholarships

FAIRFIELD — The California Retired Teachers Association Division No. 24 will offer scholarships to students with bachelor’s degrees who are seeking valid teaching credentials.

Applicants for the C. Shirley Michel Scholarships must be residents of Solano County. Last year, the group gave out eight $2,500 scholarships.

Every school district in Solano County and many nearby universities have information on the application process. Interested applicants may also call Ann Romer at 451-7292 for more information.
