FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield High School Scarlet Brigade Band will host a free e-waste collection day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 30.

GreenMouse Recycling will collect monitors, computers, cellphones, telecom equipment, TVs, wire/cable, scrap metal/aluminum, stereo equipment, copy machines, printers, ink cartridges and small appliances. Dropoff is fully assisted.

It will take place at Fairfield High School, 205 E. Atlantic Ave.

Smoke detectors, fluorescent lights and alkaline batteries cannot be accepted.

GreenMouse Recycling will make a donation to the Scarlet Brigade Band trip fund for the band’s trip to San Diego in November to perform in the 68th Annual Mother Goose Parade, according to an announcement for the e-waste event.
