Trustees to hear Solano College education, facilities plan updates

FAIRFIELD — Solano Community College’s board of trustees will conduct a short study session Wednesday consisting of faculty reports and a closed session.

Reports will include an update on the Educational Master Plan from Diane White, the interim vice president of academic affairs, and a Facilities Master Plan update from Leigh Sata, the executive bonds manager.

The closed session will consist of a meeting with the labor negotiator Bruce Petersen, representing the Community College Association/California Teachers Association/National Education Association; the California State Employees Association; and Operating Engineers Local 39. Other closed session topics include public employee discipline, dismissal and release; and public employee performance evaluations for contracted faculty.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the faculty/staff lounge on the main campus, 4000 Suisun Valley Road, Room 1401, Fairfield. The college superintendent and president, Jowel Laguerre, will attend via Vidyo, from the Doubletree Hotel in Arlington, Va.
