Church makes ready for financial aid workshop

FAIRFIELD — A free financial aid workshop for high school students and their parents, organized by the Scholarship Ministry of Mount Cavalry Baptist Church, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 8.

Sessions for students will focus on the college application process, basic financial aid and how to search for scholarships. Sessions for parents will cover the transition from high school to college and becoming more knowledgeable about financial aid. There will also be a roundtable discussion with parents of current and former college students.

Preregistration is strongly recommended. For registration forms and additional information, call the Scholarship Ministry at 399-2496 or go to [email protected] Mount Cavalry Baptist Church is located at 1735 Enterprise Drive. The workshop will take place in Building 3.
