Vallejo police arrest suspect in shooting death

On July 27, 2014 Vallejo Police Officers from the Patrol Division took 24 year old Vallejo resident Andrew Ceballos into custody and booked him into the Solano County Jail for a homocide that occured July 14, 2014.

VALLEJO —Ppolice have made an arrest in connection with a July 14 death that resulted from a shooting.

Officers on Sunday arrested 24-year-old Andrew Ceballos of Vallejo, said a Vallejo press release that came out Thursday. They had identified him as a suspect during their investigation.

Ceballos was booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of murder and was held without bail. Police arrested him on Magazine Street in Vallejo, according to the Sheriff’s Office booking logs.

The July 14 shooting took place at 2:20 p.m. on the 400 block of Capitol Street. Police responded to a shooting report and found 44-year-old Vallejo resident Willie Troy Johnson with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby trauma center and later died from his injuries, the press release said.
