VACAVILLE — Vallejo police on Monday arrested two men on suspicion of armed robbery and gun possession.
One was also identified as the gunman in a Dec. 8 shooting in which a 22-year-old victim was left hospitalized and in a medically induced coma until Dec. 16, according to a press release from police.
James Brisker, 20, and Jaymon Matthews, 19, were booked into the Solano County Jail after a search of their persons and their vehicle revealed property reported stolen in several armed robberies in Vallejo and the Fairfield area, according to police.
Police said Brisker had also been identified as the Dec. 8 shooter. He was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, among other crimes. His bail was set at $220,000.
Matthews was booked on suspicion of armed robbery.
Vallejo and Fairfield police are collaborating in the investigation to successfully resolve unspecified armed robberies in which both suspects were involved.
