FAIRFIELD — A 60-year-old Vallejo pedestrian, whose body was found next to a curb, died in a hit-and-run minutes after midnight Thursday involving a driver who came to the police station at 8:30 a.m. to report the incident, police say.

Dana Lee Stevens died after being hit at the Solano Avenue and Springs Road overcrossing of Interstate 80, police said. About eight hours later, Vallejo resident Glenn Scott Fuller, 21, came to the Vallejo Police Department and said he was the driver involved in the incident, police said.

Police had arrived after the 12:07 a.m. call and investigated the incident. No witnesses were found. Police interviewed Fuller on Thursday morning and he was later booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of a felony hit-and-run offense, police said.

The cause of the incident was under investigation, however, alcohol may have been an associated factor, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Sgt. Kevin Hamrick at 648-4329 or send him an email at [email protected].
