FAIRFIELD — A 45-year-old Vacaville man in jail since his arrest in September 2012 on pair of felony sex allegations pleaded no contest Thursday to a felony false imprisonment charge.
Juventino Zaragoza allegedly tried to proposition a 14-year-old girl, who was sitting in a parked car waiting for her mom, who was shopping at a nearby East Monte Vista Avenue grocery store.
He allegedly gave the girl his phone number, which she gave her mother later in the day. Her mother passed the phone number to police, who set up a simple sting later in the day. With police listening in, the girl called Zaragoza and agreed to meet him back at the shopping center, agreeing to have sex with him for $50, according to police.
Instead of meeting the girl, Zaragoza met the police.
Zaragoza was ordered to be released from jail and was told to return to court April 24 for sentencing.
