Vacaville police seek sexual assault suspect

By From page A4 | June 23, 2014

VACAVILLE — Police are looking for a man who they suspect sexually assaulted a woman early Saturday on a Vacaville bike trail.

The victim was assaulted at approximately 1 a.m. by an unknown man on the Southside Bikeway between Hume Way and Marshall Road. Police said the man offered the woman a ride home outside of a Vacaville nightclub and later asked for gas money as they walked along the bike trail, which runs parallel to Davis Street.

After the woman said she didn’t have any money, the man struck her in the head and then sexually assaulted her, according to police. After the assault, the man ran toward Marshall Road.

The suspect is described as a white man, 18 to 20 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender-medium build, and short, light brown hair.

Anyone with information about the man or the suspected assault is asked to call Detective Dayna Hardwick at 449-5200.

How twisted, the perp asked for gas money to give the victim a ride while they were walking along a bike trail at 1am.

You're wrong. Vacaville has a far better crime rate than comparable size counties and if I am not mistaken Ghilotti is from Marin county. We have crime and our officers and citizens work together to solve the crimes. It doesn't get any better than that. A community that stands together. Glad those who don't get it aren't here.
