VACAVILLE — Police arrested a Vacaville man Tuesday after he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at a home and fled.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Dundee Court after someone reported an arson, according to a police press release. A witness said someone threw a Molotov cocktail at a home and started a fire, which was extinguished by the residents.

While trying to located the suspect, police said a witness in a nearby neighborhood reported seeing a person who matched the description.

Officers found Timothy Morse, 40, hiding in a creek bed along Creekside Drive. Morse, who police said was armed with a baseball bat, did not comply with the officers’ commands, according to the release. Police used a stun gun to take Morse into custody.

Police took Morse to VacaValley Hospital, where he allegedly kicked a detective in the knee, according to the release. Morse was restrained and booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of arson of an inhabited dwelling, battery on an officer and possession of a firebomb – all felonies – and obstructing an officer – a misdemeanor.

Bail was a combined $80,000.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective Aaron Dahl at 449-5200.

The guy was carrying a baseball bat not a gun which is why he wasn't shot by the officers. It doesn't matter if he was white, green or purple, he sounds like a tweaker and he'll get what he's got coming to him.

I believe he knew the home was inhabited, he should of been charged with attempted murder. Let's just hope the DA picks this charge up.
