VACAVILLE — A drunken driving and driver’s license checkpoint resulted in 16 arrests Friday, according to a press release from the Vacaville Police Department.
Police conducted the checkpoint from 6 p.m. to midnight at Mason Street, screening 1,283 vehicles and arresting two motorists suspected of driving while under the influence. Police also cited/arrested 14 motorists who were driving without a license or with one that was suspended or revoked.
Vacaville police will conduct another DUI/driver’s license checkpoint Friday.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
