Two killed in early morning multi-car crash on Interstate 80
FAIRFIELD — Two Sacramento men were killed in an early morning traffic accident on westbound Interstate 80, just east of Air Base Parkway.
They are Vincente Santos, 25, and Anthony Andrade, 33, according to the Solano County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of one of the cars, Michelle Henry, 42, of Sacramento, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and for alleged possession of a loaded firearm in her vehicle.
Solano California Highway Patrol received a call about 5:23 a.m. on the crash.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Henry was driving a 2008 Buick Lucerne at a high rate of speed in the No. 4 lane. She struck the back of a 1997 Ford Explorer, traveling in the same lane, CHP said. The Explorer then crossed all lanes and collided with the center divider before coming to rest on its roof in the No. 2 lane.
Henry’s car overturned on the right-hand shoulder into the trees and bushes.
Two men exited the Explorer to help a third man in the car.
A third vehicle traveling in the second lane hit the rear of the overturned vehicle, throwing Santos into the westbound traffic lanes where he sustained fatal injuries.
The driver of the Explorer, Andrade, also died as a result.
Floyd Williams Jr., 33, of Sacramento, one of the passengers in the Explorer, was taken to NorthBay Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver of the third car, Michael Soto, 35, of Sacramento, was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with minor injuries.
All westbound lanes of I-80 were closed for about three hours so emergency crews could clear the scene and officers could complete their investigation.

What a terrible shameful tragedy! It should not have happened. May those who were injured heal quickly and for those who were killed, prayers for them, their families and friends.
The Sugar Jar, I agree. I was reading this to my wife in disbelief. So tragic to survive the accident and what a mess! Condolences to the families, good grief.
She took a life of 2 incredible people, one I personally knew. God bless to his family …..
This is absolutely horrible news. Anthony was an amazing guy, and would never deserve to be taken from us like this.
I seriously hope the drunk driver that caused the accident is forced to watch or listen to the memorial service, so she can comprehend the immeasurable value of the lives she took.

I can’t believe drunk driving does sooo many bad things to great people. Henry woman your destiny has been met and I will pray that u will be put in prison to live the rest of your life to see that your will never drive again and suffer from your wrong doing killing innocent people because of your dumb reckless endangerment to others. Karma is a bitch and u met your match.
Brooklyn, I love and miss you. Your kind words and smile brightened my day. You were my angel. I am so heart broken. You will be missed terribly.
Brooklyn, I will miss your smile and your wonderful attitude about life. You were a beautiful person that made me smile when I saw you and miss you when I didn’t. Thank you for being an angel to me. I love and miss you. God bless to your family.

Vaca, it is in our newspaper in Woodland that lawenforcement is looking for any information regarding the crash scene — particularly eye-witness accounts but also anyone who observed the scene as a motorist. Please call them and maybe your descriptions will give them leads for setting the timelines of the fatalities. Thanks
She couldn’t have taken out a better human being than taking out Anthony. He made every person feel accepted just as they were and his laugh was infectious. And poor Floyd. I don’t know him personally but it has to be super rough for him right now. I hope all three of their families can find some peace soon.
I pray for Henry’s soul at this point. She has created so much destruction and devastation. Not just the people that were lost, but the other cars that were involved. What they had to see and hear. And for what? What was so important that she had to drive, completely hammered, all the way back to Sac at 5am? I simply wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I did this.
I am Vincent’s Uncle our family is totally devastated, the are so many unanswered questions of why how come and so forth I can not understand why Henry chose to drive while being so impaired that she would drive straight into another automobile going in the same direction there is no punishment that man can give her that would fill the void that has been left in our hearts and soul Vincent and Anthony are considered heros to me for that they put their own lives in danger to try to save a friend however they lost there lives in doing so they both will be sorely missed but never forgotten as far as henry I hope she gets a long sentence so she can reflect on this senseless lose of lives RIP Vincent and Anthony
Vincent was not only my cousin, he was someone i looked up to, my friend, my hero. A drunk driver took an amazing man out of my life. The day i found out he died was the day my heart will forever be broken. I hope michelles sentencing is long and suffering by knowing everyday she took 2 lifes of two amazing men who did so much with there lives and accomplished so many goals. I know my cousin is watching over my family and i. I love u vincent. May yours and anthonys souls rest in peace.
As with anything of this nature, it’s completely senseless. I feel for the driver of the second car because was it not for the selfish Henry woman that driver would not have taken my beloved friend Brooklyn. I wish God didn’t need him so bad; he definitely called on this angel way too early. I love you Brooklyn…don’t hair flip Peter at the gate!!
I’m sorry your life was taken way too early in your life Vincente. I still remember how you brought fun and laughter in high school. I know you’ll always be remembered in peoples hearts. I pray for the hurting families of them both. RIP
To the family of Anthony, I had the privilege of hangin’ with Anthony only a few times but those time were always a blast. Oh and his smile.. what a blessing he was to all that crossed his path, I am grateful to had gotten to meet him. He was definitely one of a kind. I am so deeply sorry for your loss but he will forever be remembered by those who know him and love him. I don’t believe I knew Vicente but to his family too, my prayers go to you all that God comforts you in a way that He can. No one or nothing else can take that pain away. As for Henry, may God have mercy on your soul. I do pray that you are never able to ever do something like this again to ANYONE!! R.I.P Anthony and Vicente!
Rip brooklyn (vincent) santos! Our family will never forget him. He was truly one of a kind. I love you cousin and we will all be reunited with you one day.
STOP DRINKING AND DRIVING!!
May Anthony REST IN PEACE
Brooklyn (Vincent) Always the fun and sweet guy each morning. You will be greatly missed. Our mornings will not be the same. My prayers go out to your family and friends and also those of your friend Anthony.
Vaca, in our paper in Woodland, it stated they are looking for people who may have information about the accident. Please share what you saw with them. It might help clear up lingering question for the family. Thanks
Vincent was my co-worker at Starbucks, all of us here are still devastated about his loss.
He had a kind soul, a beautiful smile, a wonderful personality, amazing attitude, and was a damn good barista.
I had also met Anthony as well, and he was a warm and very kind person.
they will both be terribly missed.
As for Henry, as all of the others said, Karma is a horrible thing, and it will come back to you, one way or another.
You didnt Simply take two amazing angels, you have destroyed the lives of many.
Enjoy Living With That.
Brooklyn (Vincent) you were such an amazing young man…Henry better be held accountable for what she took away from your loving family and your community…you will be greatly missed by all
Love You Frankie! My heart goes out to you and your family. And the Family of Vincente. It’s so tragic, but take some comfort that they did something heroic. I am blessed that I was able to meet Anthony and can agree that he was a beautiful spirit. God Bless
