Suspects in fatal April 19 shooting enter pleas

FAIRFIELD — Two suspects in the April 19 shooting death of Gustavo Banda, 27, of Fairfield, and the wounding of a 15-year-old outside a Travion Court apartment made brief court appearances Monday.

Jason Thompson, 21, of Fairfield, pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges and Malik Howse, 20, of Fairfield, pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact to a homicide.

Both men were ordered to return to court July 15 for scheduling a probable cause hearing.
