FAIRFIELD — A teenager pleaded not guilty when arraigned Monday in Solano County Superior Court on murder and robbery charges in the death of the elderly owner of the Travis Dairy, who died after a store robbery that netted several packs of cigarettes and $60.
No date for a jury trial in the murder case against James A. Young, 19, for the death of business owner Ho Kim, 70, who was assaulted during the June 2011 thefts at his business.
Four other teens pleaded no contest to manslaughter and burglary. They stole cigarettes and money while Young allegedly attacked Kim. Kim called 911 after the teens fled and then had a heart attack. Kim died a short time later.
Defense attorney Jessica Agnich declined to comment about the Monday arraignment of Young.
