VACAVILLE — Police arrested a 24-year-old Sacramento man Thursday on suspicion of two counts of commercial burglary.

Andrey Yakimov was apprehended at  the T-Mobile store, 1639 E. Monte Vista Ave. He was found in the crawl space above the ceiling. With him were burglary tools and electronics equipment, worth an estimated $4,000, according to police.

Patrol officers responded to an alarm at the business at 5:30 a.m. and found evidence of  forced entry. With the help of the Vacaville Fire Department, officers gained access to the roof, and ultimately forced entry into the business.

Yakimov was arrested without incident.

In his vehicle, parked nearby, officers found evidence of additional burglaries that had occurred in Vacaville, including one Tuesday at the Hisui 2 restaurant on Alamo Drive, police report.

According to a police press release, detectives also uncovered evidence indicating that Yakimov was responsible for three more commercial burglaries in the Sacramento area.

Vacaville police are working with Sacramento investigators on those crimes. Detectives are also investigating the possibility that Yakimov is responsible for other crimes in Vacaville.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 449-5200, or Detective Adam Senf at 449-5245.
