FAIRFIELD — One person was arrested after Fairfield police tried to stop a stolen car Tuesday on Cleveland Street.
Police on the scene said they spotted the vehicle with three occupants and followed it. The car stopped in front of a known drug house on Minnesota Street, west of 2nd Street.
As officers approached the house, people started running from the house. A brief foot pursuit ended with officers capturing one man at gunpoint. His name was not immediately released.
Police said the man was in possession of methamphetamine and was already wanted on other felony warrants. Police recovered the stolen car, but were not able to tie the man to the vehicle.
