VACAVILLE — A stabbing in north Vacaville sent one man to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Vacaville police Lt. Matt Lydon said police received a call at 3:44 p.m. reporting a stabbing in the 100 block of Rocky Hill Road.
Officers arrived on scene within a minute of the dispatch to find an 18-year-old Hispanic male in the driveway of a home suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Lydon said the victim was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center.
The man’s condition was not immediately known, but Lydon said later Tuesday night the man suffered a collapsed lung, but was expected to survive. He was listed in stable condition.
Lydon also said the victim is a Vacaville resident.
At the scene, police taped off parts of two properties in the middle of the block with red crime scene tape. An outer perimeter was roped off with yellow police line tape.
As officers investigated the stabbing, curious neighbors looked out their windows and doors.
Lydon said police were searching for as many as four suspects who apparently fled the scene, heading west.
The getaway vehicle was described as a gray, two-door, late-model coupe of unknown make.
