FAIRFIELD — Police were investigating a shooting late Monday that sent three people to area hospitals.
The shooting happened at approximately 8:17 p.m. on the 500 block of Fairgrounds Drive in Vallejo. Police said several callers reported shots fired in the area of Fairgrounds and Sereno drives, with three victims in front of a business on Fairgrounds Drive.
Police found on victim inside the business and learned that two others left in vehicles. They were found later at area hospitals. Police said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, and was armed with an unknown type of handgun, police said. The man was last seen running east on Sereno Drive.
