FAIRFIELD — Sentencing was postponed Wednesday for the Fairfield man who stabbed a neighbor, claiming she begged him to help her commit suicide at her Balboa Court mobile home on the night of June 14, 2010.
In June, jurors found Christopher Hernandez, 46, guilty of murder. They also rejected his claims that he was hearing voices that led him to kill Karen Harrison.
Hernandez’s lawyer said he needed more time to prepare a request for a new trial.
Judge Peter B. Foor ordered Hernandez back to court Oct. 11. He remains is in jail without bail.
