FAIRFIELD — An advisory committee on real estate fraud had its first meeting Tuesday at the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

The 16-member committee, named the Solano County Real Estate Fraud Advisory Team, will collaborate on strategies and tactics to prevent, detect and report real estate fraud that affects homeowners in Solano County.

The committee is comprised of real estate professionals, lawyers and representatives from constituencies that include seniors and members of the Hispanic and Filipino communities, that are particularly vulnerable to real estate fraud, according to a press release issued Wednesday.

District Attorney Donald A. du Bain chaired the inaugural meeting. The next meeting of the committee is scheduled July 15.
