VACAVILLE — Police on Monday released updated information about a shooting Sunday in a Vacaville home that sent one man to the hospital.
The update removed the name of a homeowner who shot one man inside his home after three men allegedly refused to leave, according to a city press release.
Police received reports of shots fired at 8:21 a.m. near the 100 block of Marna Drive. A man called dispatchers and said he shot an intruder in his home. When police arrived, the man gave police his gun and said three men entered his home without consent and threatened to attack him, police said.
The victim said he kept his distance and repeatedly told the men to leave his home. In fear for his safety, the victim said he fired one shot from his weapon after one of the men approached and threatened him, police said.
All three suspects fled in a white Mercedes-Benz.
Kevin M. Fonseca, 20, of Sacramento, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of burglary and making illegal threats, both felonies, and criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. Bail was set at $45,000 for the burglary allegation, and $5,000 each for the other alleged offenses.
DeJohn Miller, 21, of Vacaville, was also arrested and police were seeking criminal charges, according to the release. Miller was shot in the torso. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The third suspect’s name was not released. He was not arrested, according to the release.
