FAIRFIELD — Police are looking for two men thought to be involved in a shooting Saturday.

Police announced Monday that Fairfield residents Sir Charles Mason, 21, and Fredrick Darnell Lewis Jr., 19, are being sought in connection to the shooting of a 28-year-old Fairfield man. Both men are considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday near Dover Avenue and Air Base Parkway. When officers arrived to the scene, they found several bullet casings, but no victim.

That is until a 28-year-old arrived to a hospital later with a gunshot wound to the neck and went into surgery. Sgt. Troy Oviatt said the victim is stable in the intensive care unit.

Oviatt said police are in possession of a 1992 purple and black Chevy Camaro, which he said is linked to the suspects. After putting out the description of the vehicle, officers located it parked on Quail Drive about eight hours after the crime occurred, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fairfield Police Department Major Crimes Unit at 428-7600, the 24-hour Tip Line at 428-7345 or Crime Stoppers at 644-7867. Callers can remain anonymous.

I thought you State and Local Government employees said Measure P would stop Fairfield from becoming Oakland (Barackistan). Gee, what went wrong and do we need more spending on both welfare and a police state to stop it?
