VALLEJO — Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman, both in their 40s, who were found dead Tuesday morning on a boat moored at a dock in the Vallejo Municipal Marina.

Officers went to the boat at about 10:44 a.m. after getting a call from a family member who had not heard from the woman for several days. The family member said that the woman lived on the boat with her husband, who was also not responding to phone calls, according to a release from the Vallejo Police Department.

Both were found dead with what police said were obvious signs of trauma. Police are investigating whether that was what caused their deaths.

This case is being investigated as a pair of suspicious deaths. Police declined to release any further information or the name of the victims until relatives have been properly notified and a determination can be made as to the nature and cause of the victims’ deaths.

Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to call Detective Raul Munoz at 648-4531, the Vallejo Police Department at 800-488-9383, or Crime Stoppers at 644-STOP.
