Police: No injuries, 1 arrest in Fairfield drive-by shooting

FAIRFIELD — A drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon on Tyler Street led to one arrest and police seizing one handgun.

Five shots were fired from a white car around 4:40 p.m., prompting panic at one home and several 911 calls.

No one was hurt and police found no gunshot damage to any cars or homes in the area, leading police to believe the shots had been fired into the air.

Witnesses gave police a description of the car with three occupants. The description of the car included a prominent Raiders emblem in a rear window.

A police officer spotted the team logo in a car two blocks from the shooting. An investigation of the car turned up the gun and led to the arrest of one person who police said had a history of gang involvement.

    I was checking to see what happened on Grande today. And at about 6pm 2 cops at Air Base x Dover, 3 cop cars in Parkway Gardens, 2 cop cars w/ 2 in cuffs on Pacific. Any one know what happened?
