SUISUN CITY — Police are seeking the public’s help to find a missing 61-year-old woman with a history of mental illness and dementia.

Officers were called to the woman’s home by her son at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. He told police he last saw his mother lying in her bed around midnight the night before.

The son, whose name was not released, told police his mother, Dianne Marie Leduff, had previously wandered from home. One prior time, the California Highway Patrol found her walking on the freeway near Interstates 80 and 680.

Leduff is described as a black woman, approximately 5 feet tall and 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and black, medium-length hair. She was last seen wearing a pink long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Suisun City Police Department at 421-7373.

She was in her bed at midnight, wearing a long sleeved shirt and blue jeans? Why?

If you have any knowledge of the elderly you would know they are often really cold or really hot, what does the type of clothes she was wearing have to do with her missing besides helping find her? I see in every comment you post you have something negative or irrelavent to say

My mother died 2 years ago at 91. She had dementia and for about the last 6-8 years of her life, we never took our eyes off of her because of what dementia does to a person. The lady in this case has walked away before....and made it all the way to 80/680??? Someone should have been either watching her or child-proofing their home to prevent a walk-away.

I suggest drawing a line on a map between her last known location and the last location she was located at when she was last lost. Search along that line.
