VACAVILLE — A man who allegedly tried to cash a forged check at Bank of the West on the 300 block of Davis Street was arrested Thursday by Vacaville police.
Officers responded just before 1 p.m. to a call of a possible forgery in progress, according to a police press release. Police determined the signature was allegedly forged.
Victor Augusto Castaneda, 20, of San Leandro, was arrested at the scene and booked in Solano County Jail on suspicion of felony burglary, felony forgery and for allegedly passing a bogus check, a misdemeanor. Bail was set at a combined $25,000.
