FAIRFIELD — A Susiun City man and three juveniles from Fairfield were arrested Friday after a what police describe as a failed residential burglary in north Fairfield.

Police received a call at 10:55 a.m. from a resident on the 2900 block of Juniper Street, reporting the incident, according to a news release. The resident, who was home at the time, told police someone rang his door bell.

When the resident did not answer the door, someone jumped over the fence into the backyard and tried to get into the home through a rear window, the release states.

The resident confronted the suspect, who fled along with three others in a silver sport utility vehicle. The resident provided a description of the getaway vehicle while officers responded to the scene. Officers found a vehicle matching the description within blocks of the home and detained the occupants. Police said the resident was able to identify the vehicle and occupants as those involved in the alleged attempted burglary.

Arrested was Claudio Gutierrez, 18, of Suisun City, along with three Fairfield juveniles ages 16 and 17. All four were booked on suspicion of attempted residential burglary and conspiracy.

There is never anyone good in an obnoxiously loud SUV but at least the noise announces the occupants. I know this article didn't say "loud" but of course it was.

Great...Hopefully those suspects are responsible for the rash of break-ins in the area & residents can get a break...

lucky punks. if they hadn't been caught this time, their next attempt to a break-in with an armed tenant at home would have a different ending.
