FAIRFIELD — Police arrested two people late Wednesday in connection with a shooting on the 300 block of East Tabor Avenue.

Fairfield police Lt. Steve Crane said the call reporting shots fired came in at 11:15 p.m. Officers responded and tried to contact Seth Shannon, 24, of Fairfield, Crane said Thursday. Shannon fled on foot and was apprehended, Crane said. A second suspect, identified as Tiffanie Dunham, 21, of Fairfield, was arrested shortly thereafter.

Crane said officers found no victims of a shooting.

“Evidence was recovered that a shooting did occur,” Crane said. He did not elaborate on what evidence was recovered.

Dunham was booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of destruction or concealment of evidence and possession of a concealed firearm, Crane said. Shannon was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, obstructing an officer and for an alleged probation violation.

Crane said officers recovered a handgun that he said was discarded by the suspects as police arrived.
