We say so often that you can’t legislate stupid. How do you get through to a kid like this? Perhaps he’s too immature or simply doesn’t “get it?” OR maybe he was just trying to be “cute” and screwed up…royally. The entire world is grieving this atrocity and most of us are having difficulty processing the emotional anguish within that town. My wife and I were discussing this yesterday and I don’t believe his arrest is precedent setting? IMO, we have to be accountable and if getting arrested just so the law can sneak a peek into your activities especially after such threats, then so be it. It is a tough case and does go to free speech. We know there are limits and most clear thinking folks recognize the line and practice restraint if not respect for it. But what about this kid and others like him?
