FAIRFIELD — Jurors are set to return Friday for a third day of deliberations in the trial of a man who faces a murder charge for the 2008 shooting death of a Vallejo teenage drug dealer during a robbery on Mockingbird Lane.
Deshaun P. Malone has pleaded not guilty. He has claimed he accidentally shot Kendrick Lewis during a drug buy and that someone in the car with Lewis had threatened him with a gun that disappeared before police arrived at the scene of the shooting.
Three passengers in Lewis’ car have testified there was no second gun and that Malone shot Lewis when Lewis started to drive off.
