FAIRFIELD — Jury selection got underway Thursday for the third of seven Fairfield residents who face murder and torture charges in the May 2011 killing of Keith E. Osby Jr.
Frank P. Bigoski IV has pleaded not guilty.
Bigoski allegedly joined his girlfriend, her daughter, her daughter’s boyfriend and three others in ambushing Osby at the girlfriend’s San Andreas Street home. In separate jury trials, the girlfriend and her daughter, Ryan and Tina Odom, were both found guilty of torture and murder charges. They have yet to be sentenced.
The ambush was spurred by a belief that Osby had stolen a computer and a Sony PlayStation from the home.
Bigoski allegedly joined in the ambush attack and struck Osby with a baseball bat before Osby was hogtied and put into a taxi with Bigoski and Tina Odom’s boyfriend, Damarcus Armstrong. He was then driven to Vallejo, where he was shot execution-style in the back of the head before his body was dumped in the parking lot of a Masonic Lodge, according to police.
Three other participants in the attack have previously made plea deals with prosecutors – two of them in exchange for their testimony as prosecution witnesses.
Jury selection is scheduled to continue Friday.
