FAIRFIELD — Police are looking to identify a witness and a vehicle associated with a man found lying injured in a roadway early Saturday in downtown Fairfield.

Police responded at 2:20 a.m. to the 1200 block of Texas Street to find a man suffering from major facial injuries. It wasn’t known at the time if he was struck by a vehicle or was a victim of an assault. The victim has since been identified as Dennis Rodriguez, 34, of Fairfield.

Fairfield police released photos Monday of a vehicle they think may be involved in the incident, as well as a photo of a man who may be a witness in the case.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 428-7600 or 428-7345.
