FAIRFIELD — An ex-con accused of opening fire on two strangers outside a Crowley Lane apartment on the night of Dec. 6 agreed to postpone a hearing set for Wednesday on a pair of attempted murder charges.
Delwan T. Blazer, 33, of San Francisco, was in court briefly Monday agreeing to wait until a Jan. 28, 2014, hearing to schedule a probable cause hearing.
Blazer allegedly got into a dispute with his girlfriend that police suspect ended with him trying to steal her car.
Police responding to a report of the theft heard gunshots at the apartment complex and then found a 23-year-old man suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Police found and arrested Blazer at a neighboring apartment complex a short time later.
Blazer has pleaded not guilty and is in jail with a bail of $4 million.
