FAIRFIELD — A woman who faces federal criminal charges for allegedly bribing an Air Force contractor involving a load of medical supplies shipped to Travis Air Force Base was indicted Tuesday in Texas on additional bribery charges.
Lida Amin is awaiting extradition from the Czech Republic where she was arrested in August.
Amin and several of her family members allegedly agreed in 2012 to give the contractor Rolex watches in exchange for being awarded a contract to provide medical clothing and linens to the Air Force that were shipped from India to the base earlier this year. Authorities identified the contractor on Tuesday as Jeron S. Rochon.
The latest indictments charge Amin and Rochon with conspiracy to commit bribery of a public official involving government contracts awarded in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008.
