FAIRFIELD — Two men wanted in connection to Saturday’s shooting on Air Base Parkway were caught Tuesday.
Sir Charles Mason, 21, of Fairfield, and Fredrick Darnell Lewis, 19, of Fairfield, were both arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, said Sgt. Matt Thomas.
Fairfield police released the names and photos of both men Monday, naming them as suspects in a shooting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Air Base Parkway and Dover Avenue. Police arrived to find numerous shell casings, but no victim.
A 28-year-0ld later turned up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his neck and was taken to surgery. He was last listed as stable. Police later found a parked vehicle tied to the crime.
