FAIRFIELD — Shots were fired at an occupied car in a Fairfield neighborhood Sunday afternoon, according to Fairfield police.
A woman was sitting in her parked car at about 12:38 p.m. on the 700 block of Jackson Street when two men walked out from the alley and fired numerous rounds into the vehicle, according to a Police Department press release.
The men got into a waiting vehicle that fled north on Jackson Street and west onto Empire Street.
The woman was not injured and was not cooperating with the investigation, according to police. It was not clear if she was alone in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The suspects were described as black men, three wearing white shirts and one wearing a black shirt, according to police. The suspects’ vehicle was described as a newer model four-door Chrysler 200 sedan with possibly tinted windows and chrome rims.
