Fairfield police seek baseball bat bandit

FAIRFIELD — Police are searching for a man who broke into a vehicle late last month at a convenience store on the 3500 block of Nelson Road, June 23.

Surveillance images show a man who police suspect used a baseball bat to break into a vehicle and steal a purse at 12:30 a.m. June 23, according to the Fairfield police Facebook page. Police said the man fled the scene in a red 1990s model Chevrolet Suburban.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Detective Chris Grimm at 399-4097. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
