FAIRFIELD — Police on Sunday released the name of the man killed in a shooting Friday in Fairfield, and in doing so issued a call for witnesses to come forward.
Tereaun Berry, 26, died as a result of the 5:20 p.m. shooting on the 1900 block of Grande Circle. He was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at NorthBay Medical Center. His city of residence was not released.
A 25-year-old man from Vacaville was later treated for a gunshot wound at Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center. His name was not released.
Berry’s death is Fairfield’s third homicide of the year. The investigation into his death is continuing.
Police said there were several people in the area at the time of the shooting. Anyone with information about the deadly shooting is asked to call the Fairfield Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit at 428-7600, the 24-hour tip line at 428-7345 or Crime Stoppers at 644-7867.
