FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Monday in connection with a burglary just outside of Dixon.
A resident on the 8300 block of Pedrick Road in unincorporated Dixon called police at approximately 5 p.m., reporting that he had discovered two people had broken into a large shop on the property, according to a news release. The caller said he had detained one person and the other had fled on foot.
Dixon police responded and detained the first man, identified as Joseph Paul McGraw, 34, of Dixon, and found Dean Forrest French, 37, of Vacaville. Sheriff’s deputies arrived shortly after and took custody of both men, the release states.
Deputies learned that McGraw had driven his car to the residence and inside the vehicle, they found McGraw’s infant child, who was turned over to Child Protective Services. Also in the car, according to the release, deputies found items from the property owner’s shop.
McGraw was booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of felony burglary, felony conspiracy and misdemeanor willful cruelty to a child. McGraw’s bail was set at $45,000. His first court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
French was booked on suspicion of felony burglary, felony conspiracy and for an alleged probation violation. French was held with a no-bail status because of the alleged probation violation. French is also scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
