FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Superior Court’s drug court program alternative to being in jail is planning to expand again after receiving a state grant, the court’s executive officer announced Wednesday.
A Department of Justice grant of $188,000 will pay for an additional program manager for two years, enabling the program to grow from 40 to 75 participants.
The court also recently received a grant of more than $900,000 from the state to start a drug court program in Vallejo that will launch later this month.
The court is also receiving a two-year grant from the Department of Justice to expand a domestic violence offender program. The $300,000 grant will enable the court to expand the current program starting next year.
