FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield drunken driving and driver’s license checkpoint led to numerous arrests late last week, police announced Monday.
The checkpoint took place between 8 p.m. and midnight Friday on the 2100 block of North Texas Street. A total of 612 vehicles were screened.
One person was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, according to a Police Department press release. Thirteen drivers were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle while unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license. One citation was issued for a child safety seat violation.
Another checkpoint is scheduled Friday.
