FAIRFIELD — A bus passenger is suing Fairfield and MV Transportation because he says a driver abruptly stopped a city bus at Suisun Valley and Neitzel roads – sending the passenger against the hard interior of the bus and injuring his shoulder, knee, neck and back.

The lawsuit by Johnny McFarland was filed Wednesday in Solano County Superior Court. The filing states that the bus has no seatbelts or padded surfaces.

An Oct. 7 case management conference is scheduled in the lawsuit filed over the June 13, 2013, incident.
