FAIRFIELD — A body found in Vallejo in July was the victim of a homicide, police said Tuesday.
Police responded July 5 to a report of a body in the area of Lemon and Derr streets. The body, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition, has not been identified, according to police news release.
The Solano County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday identified homicide as the cause of death.
According to police, an anthropological examination revealed that the victim was a Hispanic male, 30 to 50 years old, and 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. Police said the victim was wearing a dark-colored, extra-large G-Unit T-shirt and Denizen jeans, 36- to 38-inch waist and about 30 inches in length.
A DNA profile of the victim has been developed but has not yet been matched, police said.
