VACAVILLE — A drunken driving checkpoint Sunday in Vacaville snared 25 people, polio report.
The checkpoint took place from 6 p.m. to midnight on northbound Allison Drive between Ulatis Drive and Travis Way. Officers also checked to make sure drivers were properly licensed.
Police screened a total of 543 vehicles and reported that one driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Another person was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Twenty-three drivers were cited/arrested for driving without a license or on a suspended or revoked license.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
