2 dead in Vallejo after shots fired
FAIRFIELD — Police are investigating the shooting deaths of two people Sunday in Vallejo as a homicide.
Officers responded at about 9:23 a.m. to an apartment on the 400 block of Ebbetts Pass Road to check on the welfare of the residents. As officers were en route, witnesses called to report that gunshots were heard from inside the apartment, according to a Vallejo police press release.
Neighbors forced their way into the apartment and found a man and a woman dead, both from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, police report. Police secured the scene once they arrived.
The names and ages of the victims were not released pending family notification.
