By From page B8 | December 24, 2012

FAIRFIELD — Sprint has made available a new service with faster speeds for mobile devices in Fairfield and Vallejo, as well as Petaluma, Sonoma and Santa Rosa.

The service is called 4G LTE. It will allow quicker Web browsing and speedier uploads of photos and videos to social networking sites and have less buffering for video viewing, a Sprint press release said.

“Just in time for the holidays, we are bringing 4G LTE to even more Sprint customers,” said Bob Azzi, senior vice president-Network, Sprint, in a press release. “We strive to deliver a top-notch network experience, and customers in these newly launched areas will see 4G LTE service get better and better in the weeks and months ahead to reach even more places where they live, work and play.”
