ROCKVILLE — What organizers say is the area’s largest business networking event is to occur from 5 to 7:30 p.m. May 1 at Solano Community College.

The event is the second annual Solano Business Connections. Sponsors are the Solano Community College Educational Foundation and First Northern Bank.

Ten of the region’s chambers of commerce will participate, as well as the Solano Economic Development Corp. The foundation anticipates that more than 300 people will attend.

“This event provides local businesses an opportunity to connect with potential customers from throughout Solano County and Winters,” foundation Executive Director Curt Johnston said in a press release. “Our economy will be strengthened with more business-to-business activity.”

Also, he said, it is important to invite the business community to tour the college and see where its workforce is educated and trained.

Guests will enjoy food, Suisun Valley wines and micro brews from Heretic Brewing Company and Mare Island Brewing Co., the press release said. There will be a raffle.

For more information, email foundation@solano.edu or call 864-7177.
