VACAVILLE — Napoli Pizzeria finally has room to seat the various youth sports teams that it sponsors, as well as more customers in general.
It has expanded into an adjacent building. Seating has gone from about 24 to 70.
“Our dining area was so tiny before,” said Tiffany Guerrera, whose family owns and operates the restaurant. “It was kind of standing-room-only on Fridays and Saturdays.”
The pizzeria also has a new look. It has stained concrete floors and a plaster that gives the walls an old-world Italian look, Guerrera said. Whereas the old restaurant had only tables, the new one has booths.
Yet the new version retains five of those tables with the checkerboard table cloths typical of pizzerias. Guerrera said the idea is to balance a new appearance with the old-time pizza cafe atmosphere.
The Napoli Pizzeria in Vacaville was founded 11 years ago by Tiffany’s husband, Mike Guerrera. It has its roots with the Napoli Pizzeria in Vallejo, which was founded in 1968 by Mike Guerrera’s father. A Napoli Pizzeria is also located in Benicia. All are run to this day by members of the Guerrero family.
Napoli Pizzeria in Vacaville is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday. It is located at 2030 Nut Tree Road. The phone number is 447-4992.
