Kaiser earns top rating

By From page B8 | February 03, 2014

FAIRFIELD — Kaiser Permanente Northern and Southern California are the only California health plans to earn a top four-star rating in a state report.

The ratings came in the annual Healthcare Quality Report Card from California’s Office of the Patient Advocate. Kaiser Permanente has gotten the highest rating possible for overall quality of care for six consecutive years, a Kaiser Permanente press release said.

The 2014 report card provides side-by-side comparisons of the largest health plans in the state, the press release said. It ranks the health plans on national standard-of-care measures that involve treatment and prevention of a range of conditions with implications for personal health.
